We all have the ability to perceive what is best for us and what is worst for us. However we do not necessary accept or trust this knowledge.
How many times have you had the feeling to use another route home or not to go to some event or party or just to say no to something. But habit and logic prevents you from taking the alternate route and you get delayed by that train or accident or roadwork which occurring on that route. Even worse you end up in the accident. Your inner knowing knew, you just did not take heed. How about that event or party which ends up being a total disappointment and waste of your time.
Will you listen to yourself the next time you get the feeling to stay home? Probably not.
Part of remaining in the same mind space is that of logic telling you not to be silly and if you change your plans you might miss out on something.
Learning to trust and listen to this incredible gift we all possess can be simpler than you think. Through the subconscious your physical body tells you in many ways what experience or interactions are for your highest good. When something of a negative nature affects you, your physical body tries to withdraw by leaning back or away from it such as avoiding the loud dog next door or an accident about to happen. And the opposite is true when you are being affected by something you perceive as positive such as seeing a good friend or falling in love.
There are times when the answers do not feel so clear, and that is when we can learn to use our body as a divination tool. First, use my body as a divination tool, you are asking if this is wrong? Then I ask you, how anything which is part of you could be wrong. Next, so how do I use my body in this way? And I am sure if you had never heard of this before there are thoughts of disbelief.
Following are three methods of using your body in this way. Before you begin any of these, from that place of inner knowing request that the answers be for your highest good.
Our Body Pendulum
Your whole body can be used as a pendulum that will sway one way for yes and another for no. The human body as a pendulum moves back and forth - or side to side. Place your feet about 12 to 18 inches apart and make sure you have something soft behind you like a sofa or armchair. Before you ask your question, close your eyes and ask what is yes, notice how your body moves. Then ask what is no, and notice your body again. Now ask your body a question you know the answer to be (such as your name), and try it again with something you the answer to negative. You can now proceed with the question you need answer to. Trust the answer. Are you surprised?
The Thumbs and Index Fingers in a Locked position
In this method put your thumb and index finger together creating a loop, now put your other thumb and index finger together in the loop creating a chain link with these fingers.
Again ask what is yes and try and pull your fingers apart. And then, what is no and repeat the process of pulling your fingers apart. One will lock your fingers so tightly together you feel you cannot get them apart. The other lets go as soon as begin to pull. Again ask questions that you know the answers to, to confirm the method works. Now you ask the question you require an answer to. Trust the first answer. Amazing.
The Thumb and Index finger Rubbing
Here you place you thumb and index finger together and gently rub them together. To see the difference, ask what is yes and what is no. One will feel the skin surface as being very smooth or silky and the other will feel sticky or rough and your fingers may stop moving altogether, similar to when you could not pull your fingers apart in the linked finger method. Go through the process of asking something you already know the answer to again. When you have completed this you can now as your question. Always trust the first answer. Incredible.
These methods allow your body to help you make the correct decisions for you at any given time. And as you are not pulling some device out of your pocket or purse you can use any one of these anywhere. You can use your body pendulums for everyday things like: should I have an apple or an orange? Should I go to the movie or take a walk instead? Is it wise to let this person become a close friend or relationship? And so on. You can ask your body anything.
Know these work in a nonjudgmental way from your place of inner knowing. The more you use them, the more trusting and confident you will become that you already know what is for your highest good. Beginning to trust yourself, you will eventually learn to trust yourself completely and just know what is best for you.
What an incredible gift our bodies have given us.
