Meditation

The inner experience is a mystical one that is not easy to describe. It contains the knowledge of past events and the seeds of future events and yet is not removed or separate from our reality.

We have a vast reservoir of knowledge at our disposal and yet we make relatively little use of it. It is also the area where we interact with the mass consciousness of our society and that of the world.

The course of meditation will take you away from normal reality in gradual but purposeful steps. Meditation is the key to unlocking the untapped reservoir and opening the mind to new principles and laws that are not immediately evident to the fully waking mind.

The first of these steps is to address the constant chattering of the ego mind and its persistent voice which questions the current perception only lightly and tends to refer far too much to the past and the future.

The result is the rising to consciousness of memories that are related to the sojourn in the earth and especially those events and times when we formed beliefs, behaviour patterns, fears, likes, dislikes, and a host of other mental and psychological structures that make up ourselves and our social conditioning.

It is not always necessary to understand what exactly happened when we review these things but it is helpful to understand that the recurring pattern in meditation is to become aware of these things in a conscious manner and to release them. The resulting release of energy is then useful in forming new patterns and behaviors that will result in a condition of growth.

Many of these things are so much a feeling experience that it is difficult or impossible to get the experience into words. That is, alas, a function of having a language that is not equipped to describe such things.
